Approach
How I build AI workflows you can trust with real work
A governed workflow is an AI workflow with written rules: what it may read, what it may change, and who has to approve what. Here's how one comes together.
Step one
The rules come before the AI.
Every workflow starts as a one-page rules sheet we agree together. It's short enough to read in a minute, and it's what the workflow is held to. If an action isn't on the sheet, the workflow can't take it.
The example on the right is for a weekly payment check.
Rules sheet
Example- Job
- Match last week's payments against the bank statement.
- May read
- Bank statement export; payment app reports.
- May draft
- A mismatch report listing every payment that doesn't line up.
- Needs approval
- Marking a payment as received. Approver: the finance owner.
- Never
- Delete records, issue refunds or contact customers.
- Counts as done
- Every mismatch is listed with the entries it came from.
Step two
What a run looks like
Using the rules sheet above. This is an illustration of the process, not a client story.
-
It reads
The workflow opens the bank export and the payment reports. Reading is allowed, so nothing waits.
-
It drafts
It matches payments and writes the mismatch report, citing the entries behind each line.
-
It asks
Where a payment clearly arrived, it asks to mark it received. The finance owner approves or declines.
-
You decide
You review the report. If it meets "counts as done", you accept it. That accepted report is the output you pay for.
How I work
Principles I don't bend
-
Deciding and changing stay separate. The workflow can work things out freely. The right to change anything sits in the rules, not in the AI.
-
No result without evidence. If something hasn't been checked, I don't report it as done.
-
A fix is proven, not assumed. When I close a weakness, a test tries to exploit it and has to fail.
-
Not tied to one AI provider.Workflows are designed so the model behind them can be swapped, so one provider's outage or price change doesn't stop your work.
-
Start with one job.One job, clear limits, then more, but only once the first one has earned it.
A note on proof
What you won't find here
No client logos, no borrowed percentages and no "production case studies". The pilot exists to create real results. When there are some, they'll be published here, with each partner's permission.
